So, out of the blue we received a call on Wednesday morning from my dadio, Mike Kangas, in Hermosillo saying he was on his way down to see us!!! What a fun surprise! Of course I ran around to make sure the place was clean, swept the outside patio, and put fresh sheets in the motor home. He arrived and we visited all afternoon Wednesday with glee! Then Thursday we put him to work, recording audio spots for next year's curriculum, as the voice of the crazy scientist 'Lucas'. We managed to get Unit 1 recorded, as well as an intro to the curriculum that we will put up on the Spanish website. Then this morning, after breakfast together he was off again, heading back home! It was a delight!
The visiting isn’t over however, as Lon Smith and two guys from Nevada show up tomorrow night to spend a week with us! We have them signed up to speak in 3 churches starting this Sunday, and they are going to help us out with some projects here at ‘Rancho Provision’. :)
(I think painting, putting in windows in the workshop, and putting up a shade for the laundry area are a few items on the list) So, we are enjoying the English-speaking company for sure this week!!!
